Software localization

The software localization includes the localization translation, localization development and localization testing. GT Localization Center has established the Software Localization Center dedicated to providing the professional, highly-efficient and accurate localization translation and localization testing solutions.

Software localization process:

1. Localization development (completed by clients): Clients should provide the software codes for source language;

2. Localization translation: Translators with the corresponding technical backgrounds will perform the software translation and proofreading;

3. Localization testing: Include localization version editing, localization version testing and fault repair;

    (1) Make the testing plan and cases
    (2) Check whether the translation is appropriate and whether it conforms to local habits
    (3) Check whether the translation affects those local habits (for example, for Chinese people, their family names are followed by given names)
    (4) Check whether the icons and words conform to local habits (for example, dragon represents evil in western countries while represents blessedness in China)
    (5) Check other contents belonging to localization testing

4. Generate the testing report and analyze the error types;

5. Perform the localization version repair for those localization version errors, translation errors will be submitted to translators for modification, and program errors of source language version will be submitted to clients for modification;

6. Regression testing. Repeat the previous step once detecting any errors; that is to repair various localization errors. Translation with no errors will be directly submitted to clients;

7. Complete the localization development.
